GENTLE IN HEART. WILLING IN SPIRIT.
Known for their intelligence and athleticism, OTTBs bring both grace and grit to the arena. Tap embodies these qualities beautifully, pairing her sweet disposition with a natural willingness to learn. Her kind eye and people-pleasing nature make her a joy to work with as she continues to gain experience and confidence.
At 9 years old, Tap is mature enough to offer reliability yet young enough to continue growing in her training. She’s currently shown at walk/trot and is schooling poles with ease, preparing to start over 2ft.. Every ride shows more balance, focus, and heart.
Her impressive 17.2-hand frame gives her a striking presence in the ring and a naturally ground-covering stride. Despite her size, Tap is incredibly gentle on the ground and continues learning to ground tie with patience and trust.
Tap’s soft grey coat and expressive dark eyes make her impossible to overlook. Her sweet personality shines through in every glance — kind, calm, and full of quiet curiosity. She’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Still considered green but completely willing, Pepper approaches each new challenge with try and enthusiasm. She’s the kind of mare that builds connection through consistency and kindness. Whether she’s working over poles or standing for her dinner, her easygoing temperament and eagerness to please make her a barn favorite.
Gentle, affectionate, and endlessly kind, Tap approaches every day with curiosity and heart. She’s a true people pleaser who thrives on attention and connection. Her calm nature and willingness to learn make her an ideal partner for riders who value patience, trust, and a steady, responsive personality both in and out of the arena.
Tap is well-started under saddle and has been shown walk/trot with confidence. She’s schooling poles and preparing to begin small fences, showing natural rhythm and balance in her movement. Always eager to please, she learns quickly with consistent guidance and enjoys the structure of regular work, especially when rewarded with praise (and dinner).
With light maintenance typical of an OTTB, Tap does best with consistency and thoughtful care. She maintains her condition easily through balanced nutrition and regular turnout. As she continues to build muscle and experience, her gentle temperament and cooperative attitude make her a pleasure to handle and bring along.
In just one month at LNK, Tap has shown remarkable physical and mental progress. Her chest and shoulder lines are cleaner, her muscle tone has filled in beautifully, and her legs look stronger and more balanced. She now carries herself with greater confidence, standing taller, moving more freely, and reflecting the benefits of consistent care, conditioning, and patient training.
Each service at LNK Performance Horses is designed to strengthen the bond between horse and rider. Through mindful training, calm instruction, full-care boarding, and carefully matched sales, we build the foundation for balance, trust, and growth.
